🧕 Khadijah: The First to Believe
Theme: support • Free Islamic story for kids ages 5-10
Tonight's Story
Before Prophet Muhammad ﷺ became a Prophet, he worked for a wise and successful businesswoman named Khadijah. She was known all across Makkah for being smart, honest, and generous.
Khadijah noticed something special about Muhammad ﷺ. He was honest when no one was watching. He was kind to everyone he met. He never cheated, never lied, and always kept his promises.
She admired him so much that she asked him to marry her. Together, they built a beautiful life. She was his best friend, his partner, and the person who knew him better than anyone.
Then came the night in the cave — the night the Quran began. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ came home shaking and afraid. He had never experienced anything like it before. "Cover me, cover me," he said.
Khadijah held him close and said: "Allah would never let anything bad happen to you. You are kind to your family. You help the poor. You are honest and good." Her words gave him strength.
Khadijah was the very first person in the world to believe that Muhammad ﷺ was a Prophet of Allah. Before anyone else — she believed. The Prophet ﷺ never forgot her love and support for as long as he lived.
Dua of the Night: Dua for Gratitude
رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ
Rabbi awzi'ni an ashkura ni'mataka
"My Lord, inspire me to be grateful for Your blessings"
Khadijah was one of the greatest blessings in the Prophet's life. She supported him, believed in him, and loved him. This dua asks Allah to help us feel grateful for the blessings He gives us — especially the people who love and support us.
