🕌 The Prophet's Most Precious Nights

Tonight's Story

We are deep in the last ten nights of Ramadan. And tonight, we're going to talk about something the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ did during these exact same nights — the same nights you are living through right now.

When the last ten nights arrived, the Prophet ﷺ changed. He would 'tighten his belt' — a way of saying he got serious. He prayed more. He slept less. He put everything he had into worshipping Allah during these precious nights.

And he didn't do it alone. He would gently wake up his family — his daughter Fatimah, even the young ones — and say: 'Pray. These nights are too special to sleep through.' He wanted everyone he loved to share in the blessing.

Some years, the Prophet ﷺ would spend the entire last ten nights inside the masjid. This is called i'tikaf — when you stay in the mosque, away from everything else, just to be with Allah. No work. No errands. Just prayer, Quran, and dua.

Why did he try so hard? Because somewhere in these nights is Laylatul Qadr — the Night of Power. The Prophet ﷺ wanted to make sure he didn't miss it. So he treated every single night like it could be the one.

Right now, you are in those same nights. The same moon the Prophet ﷺ prayed under is shining on you tonight. You don't have to stay up all night — but maybe tonight, pray one extra prayer. Say one extra dua. Read one extra page of Quran. These nights won't come again for a whole year. Make them count. 🕌

Dua of the Night: Dua for the Night

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ

Allahumma inni as'alukal-'afwa wal-'afiyah

"O Allah, I ask You for forgiveness and well-being"

During these last nights, the Prophet ﷺ would make this dua for pardon and protection. It covers everything — forgiveness for mistakes and safety from hardship. It's one of the most comprehensive duas you can make.
