🌟 The Night the Prophet ﷺ Flew

Tonight's Story

During these special Ramadan nights, we pray more and feel closer to Allah. But did you know that prayer — salah — was given to us on the most incredible night in the Prophet's life? A night when he was taken on a journey no human had ever made before.

One night, the Angel Jibreel came to the Prophet ﷺ with a miraculous creature called the Buraq. It was unlike anything on earth — it could travel faster than the eye could see. The Prophet ﷺ climbed on, and in moments, he was carried from Makkah all the way to Jerusalem.

In Jerusalem, something extraordinary happened. All the prophets were gathered — Ibrahim, Musa, Isa, and many others. And the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ led them all in prayer. Every prophet, standing together behind him.

Then came the most amazing part. The Prophet ﷺ was taken up through the heavens — past the clouds, past the stars, higher and higher. At each level, he met another prophet. Each one greeted him and welcomed him.

He went all the way to the highest place any human has ever reached — close to Allah Himself. And there, Allah gave him the greatest gift to bring back to earth: salah. Five daily prayers — a direct connection between us and Allah, every single day.

That's what salah is — a gift from the highest place in the universe, delivered on the most miraculous night in history. Every time you stand to pray, you are using a gift that the Prophet ﷺ brought back from above the stars. During these Ramadan nights, that gift feels even more precious.

Dua of the Night: Dua After Prayer

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلَامُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلَامُ

Allahumma antas-Salam wa minkas-salam

"O Allah, You are Peace and from You comes peace"

The Prophet ﷺ would say this after finishing his prayers. Salah is a gift from the heavens — and this dua honours that gift. During Ramadan, our prayers carry extra weight and extra reward.
