Ramadan Night 27 of 30

🌙 The Night the Angels Fill the Earth

Tonight's Story

This might be the most special night of the entire year. Many Muslims believe that tonight — the 27th night of Ramadan — could be Laylatul Qadr. And the Quran tells us something breathtaking about this night.

"The angels and the Spirit descend in it, by the permission of their Lord, for every matter." Can you picture it? Angels — more than you could ever count — coming down from the heavens to the earth. They fill every corner, every room, every street.

And they bring with them something beautiful: "Peace it is, until the rising of the dawn." The whole night is wrapped in peace. From the moment the sun goes down until the first light of Fajr, everything is still, everything is calm, everything is blessed.

Allah chose this night — a night in Ramadan — to send the Quran down to earth. He chose this night to open the doors of forgiveness as wide as they can go. And He chose this night to let the angels walk among us.

The Prophet ﷺ would search for this night every single year. He never took it for granted. Even though he was already the most beloved person to Allah, he still searched, he still prayed, he still hoped.

Right now, at this very moment, the angels might be all around you. This might be the night. So close your eyes, make your dua, and let the peace of this night fill your heart. Salam. Peace. Until Fajr.

Dua of the Night: Surah Al-Qadr

إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ

Inna anzalnahu fi lailatil-qadr

"Indeed, We sent it down on the Night of Power"

This entire surah is about tonight. It's short, powerful, and beautiful. If you can, recite the whole surah with your family tonight. Let its words be the last thing you hear before you sleep.
