🌳 Luqman — The Wisest Father

Tonight's Story

Ramadan is almost over. And tonight, we're going to hear the words of one of the wisest people ever mentioned in the Quran. A man whose wisdom was so special that Allah named an entire surah after him. His name was Luqman.

We don't know everything about Luqman's life. But we know this: Allah gave him wisdom. And the most beautiful thing Luqman did with that wisdom was share it — with his son. The Quran records his advice, word by word, like a father sitting with his child.

He said: 'My dear son, do not associate anything with Allah. It is the greatest wrong.' He started with the most important lesson of all — that Allah is One, and nothing should take His place in your heart. Not money, not fame, not anything.

'And be good to your parents,' Luqman continued. 'Be grateful to Me and to your parents.' He taught his son that after loving Allah, the most important thing is to love and respect the people who raised you.

Then Luqman told his son: 'Establish prayer, and do not turn your face away from people, and do not walk proudly on the earth.' He was teaching him to always remember Allah, to be humble, and to treat everyone with kindness.

These words were spoken by a father to his son thousands of years ago — and Allah loved them so much that He put them in the Quran forever. Tonight, sit with someone you love and share what you've learned this Ramadan. The best wisdom is the wisdom you pass on. 🌳

Dua of the Night: Dua of Gratitude to Allah and Parents

رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَى وَالِدَيَّ

Rabbi awzi'ni an ashkura ni'matakal-lati an'amta 'alayya wa 'ala walidayya

"My Lord, inspire me to be grateful for the blessings You gave me and my parents"

Luqman taught his son to be grateful to Allah and to his parents. This dua from the Quran asks Allah to help us always remember to be thankful — for everything we have and for the people who love us.
