Tonight's Story
Can you believe it? Tomorrow is Eid. This beautiful month of Ramadan — the month of fasting, of family, of stories, of stars, of dates, of duas — is almost over.
The companions of the Prophet ﷺ used to feel sad when Ramadan ended. They would spend months before Ramadan making dua: "O Allah, let us reach Ramadan." And when it was over, they would spend months after saying: "O Allah, accept our Ramadan."
Think about everything you've been through this month. You heard about the night the Quran came down. You learned about kindness, patience, courage, and forgiveness. You met prophets and brave believers who trusted Allah with everything.
You helped set the iftar table. You hugged your family a little tighter. You tried the Tasbih of Fatimah before bed. You said the Laylatul Qadr dua. You picked out things to give away before Eid. You did all of that.
Ramadan isn't just about what happened in the stories. It's about what happened in you. Something changed in your heart this month. You felt closer to Allah. You were kinder. You tried harder. And that — that is the real gift of Ramadan.
So before this month slips away, take a moment. Close your eyes. And say: "Thank you, Allah, for letting me experience this Ramadan. Please let me see the next one too."
Dua of the Night: Dua for Acceptance
رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka antas-samee'ul-'aleem
"Our Lord, accept this from us. You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing"
This is the dua Ibrahim and Ismail made when they finished building the Ka'bah. They didn't just build it — they asked Allah to accept it. Tonight, we ask Allah to accept our Ramadan — every prayer, every fast, every good deed, every dua.
