The Bird Made of Clay
Stories of Wonder · Book companion
Prophet Isa, peace be upon him, came to the Children of Israel with a message from Allah.
He called them to worship Allah.
And Allah gave Isa signs that no ordinary person could perform.
One of the most extraordinary began with something ordinary.
A piece of clay.
Isa pressed and shaped the clay.
A small body. A beak. Two wings.
Soon, a bird rested in his hands.
It looked ready to take off.
But it was still only clay.
Then came the part no human being could do.
Isa breathed into the clay bird.
A person’s breath cannot make clay come alive.
But this was a sign from Allah.
And by Allah’s permission, the lifeless shape became a real bird.
And then...
The wings opened.
The bird flew.
Up from Isa’s hands and into the sky.
Imagine watching it.
Clay one moment. A living bird the next.
Something no person could make happen had happened before them.
The bird was more than something astonishing to watch.
It was a sign that Isa was telling the truth. He was a prophet and servant of Allah.
Isa shaped the clay. Isa breathed into it.
But it became alive only by Allah’s permission.
The power belonged to Allah.
The bird may have been small.
But the message it carried was enormous.
Isa was telling the truth.
He was a prophet and servant of Allah.
And the One who gave life to a bird made from clay is the same Allah who gives life to every creature in the sky, every creature on the earth, and you. 🌙
